Mrs Joanne Fraser qualified from Birmingham School of Chiropody and Podiatry in 1988 as a State Registered Practitioner.

Joanne gained experience in all aspects of podiatry whilst working in a variety of clinical settings for East Birmingham Health Authority.

In 1996 she held the position of community diabetic podiatrist and worked alongside GPs in their practices treating and advising on diabetic foot care.

In 2000 Joanne took up a new post for South Birmingham PCT as a Senior Specialist Diabetic Podiatrist.

Whilst in this position, Joanne also gained invaluable experience in her rotation to the specialist clinics with Selly Oak Hospital Diabetic Foot Team.

Joanne has also been involved in the training and assessing of podiatry students for minor surgical procedures this includes teaching anaesthetic technique and surgical skills.

Joanne has been in private practice for over twenty years with a strong emphasis on preventative measures. This has included the prescription and manufacture of insoles to accommodate painful lesions. Joanne has a special interest in the treatment of verrucae with cryosurgery.

Joanne's Continuing Professional Development includes, Diploma of Diabetes, Dermatology, Vascular and Neurological Examination, Specialist Diabetic Conferences, to name but a few.

Outside her professional life, Joanne has still got time to raise two lovely children and pursue a number of interesting hobbies top of the list being, flower arranging "floristry" and swimming.
